Sniffles and Scentlessness

I seem to be fighting Dad's cold/flu thing . Great..
Upside - it doesn't seem to be hittng me quite as hard .Mostly just post-nasal drip(clear) ,a smidge of a cough, tiredness and a low level fever that comes especially in the evenings.
Because of the fever issue I decided NOT to attend choir practice last night. (A lot of the choir is up there in years and some are rather frail in health .I'm not gonna be the person that kills off some sweet oldster with my icky bug.

I was in a hurry to get to work wednesday (yesterday ) and just didn't get to applying anything. Half thinking I might be going to practice that night(no perfume/scent allowed in choir) . Just didn't feel like it once I got home (tired ,sore from freight and sinus, and a low fever) went and lay down for awhile.
Slept in this morning and just stayed quiet all day (except for cleaning up after Tilly aka Miss Horks-a-lot the semi bulemic cat-nothing wrong with her she just washes too much and horks fur and food everywhere!)
Dosed everyone with anti-furball treats after that which has since caused someone to STINKBOMB the litterbox. At 11pm I'm not about to go deal with 3 boxes to scoop and haul outside.I finally spritzed something (as an airfreshener but hey-) Yves Rocher Chevrefille (Honeysuckle-I think) body mist . In case of Stinkum Box or something ,I tend to use my bodymists as airfresheners .It's better than Glade .

Sotd

In honour of my very first blog post on my very first blog ,I chose to spritz on First by Van Cleef & Arpels (edt form).
This scent was created in 1976 by noted perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena.

Notes per Fragrantica are :
Top: ALDEHYDES !! ,black current, peach,Raspberry,Mandarin orange, and bergamot.

Middle/heart: Carnation,Tuberose,orchid,Orris root,JASMINE,hyacinth,Turkish Rose, Ylang-ylang, lily of the valley,and Narcissus.

Bottom/base notes are:HONEY,Amber,Tonka Bean,Sandlewood,civet,oakmoss, Musk,vanilla,and Vetiver.
This opens with a blast of soap. You feel as if there is some flowers and fruit but they are encased in soap (Ivory or Lux?) just like a pinecone or a coffee bean in a fancy candle .Gradually some of the aldehydes wear down and the raspberry and mandarin peak out .Eventually I pick out the carnation and a wave of honey and sweet floral bouquet.

I like this quite a bit after giving it repeated tries  over time. At one point I thought of giving it away but now I really do like it in my Aldehydic Floral Classics.I may eventually try this in edp and parfum.
